Pastor Elijah Salifu is of GSSO Set 85, completed his undergraduate studies in Geography and Planning at the University of Jos and his postgraduate studies in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Lagos. He also holds a Post- graduate Diploma in Theology from the Redeemed Christian Bible College, affiliated with the University of Ibadan. He is an accredited Consultant in Urban & Regional Planning and Environmental Consulting. His leadership roles include serving as President of the Nigerian Association of Geography Students (NAGS) and General Secretary of the Idoma Students Association (ISA), both at the University of Jos in 1991 and 1992 and serving as National President of University of Jos Geography and Planning Alumni Association (Set 1992). He served as a Supervisor with the National Population Commission in Katsina State in 1991 and a Student Representative at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, University of Jos. Professionally, between 1994-1999, he worked as Administrative Officer and an Estate Manager with a firm of Chartered Surveyors and a real estate development company in Lagos. Between 2001–2003, he served as a Consultant with the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) for the Kubwa Phase One Housing Estate, Abuja and as Facility Management Consultant to the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), in charge of all Federal Government landed properties in Wuse Zones 3, 4, and 5, Abuja (2003–2007). He has been a Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), since 2007 and served as a 2-term Executive Member of OGSSOSA (1985 set) and the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), Lagos Mainland branch. Pastor Elijah is a full member of the prestigious Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Association of Town Planning Consultants of Nigeria (ATOPCON), Town Planners Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC), Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), and Nigerian Environmental Society (NES).
